The Estrogen & Menopause Program

Awake at 3 a.m. and not yourself.

When sleep, mood, and energy all shift at once, perimenopause or menopause is often why. We treat it with FDA-approved hormone therapy, guided by your labs and a physician who actually listens.

Menopause, plainly.

Not sleeping? Not feeling like yourself?

In perimenopause and menopause, estrogen and progesterone shift, and so does how you sleep, think, and feel. It is common, it is real, and it is treatable.

When is it worth treating?

  • When hot flashes, broken sleep, and mood changes are wearing you down.
  • When brain fog and low energy are quietly costing you your days.
  • The right next step is an honest conversation and the right labs. That is where we start.

Signs we evaluate

  • Hot flashes and night sweats
  • Sleep that breaks at 3 a.m.
  • Mood swings and irritability
  • Brain fog and low energy
  • Low libido and dryness
  • Fatigue and stubborn weight

How we decide.

1

A real consultation

History, symptoms, and what you want back.

2

Labs, read by your physician

Drawn, reviewed, and explained to you.

3

A plan, either way

Treatment if your labs, history, and exam support it.

4

Follow-up and titration

Dosing adjusted to your labs and how you feel.

Not everyone is a candidate. If hormones are not the answer, we say so, and you leave with your results explained and a clear recommendation for what comes next.

Your options, compared.

Our program Typical online menopause clinics Waiting it out
A physician who reads your labs Often an NP, not a physician
Seen in person, in a Danville office Often app-only

A dose we can raise, lower, or stop Often protocol-driven
Messages answered by Dr. Sharma himself Often a care team
A plan built around your symptoms Sometimes

What treatment can help with.

For the right candidate, monitored properly, hormone therapy can ease the symptoms that menopause brought on. These are potential benefits, not promises, and results vary.

Fewer hot flashes

Hot flashes and night sweats that ease, so the day and the night stop being an ambush.

Sleep through the night

Falling asleep and staying asleep, instead of staring at the ceiling at 3 a.m.

A steadier mood

Fewer swings and a longer fuse, so you feel more like the person you know.

Clearer thinking

Less brain fog and fewer lost words, so you can hold a thought again.

Intimacy that returns

Support for low libido and vaginal dryness, so closeness feels possible again.

A body that responds

Symptom relief that can make sleep, movement, and weight feel workable again.

If the evaluation supports therapy. You can enroll and begin: FDA-approved medication, dosed to your labs and adjusted over time, billed separately at your pharmacy. Enroll, and the $149 evaluation is credited toward your first month.
If it does not.We tell you plainly. You leave with your results explained, a written plan for sleep, weight, and metabolic health, and a referral path for anything the labs uncovered.

Questions people ask.

How do I know if I am in perimenopause or menopause?

The symptoms above are a starting point, but they overlap with thyroid, sleep, stress, and other causes. We read your history alongside labs and your cycle pattern, which is exactly how we begin. We will tell you honestly what we find, and whether hormone therapy is the right fit for you.

Do you use pellets or compounded bioidentical hormones?

No. We prescribe FDA-approved bioidentical options only, estradiol and micronized progesterone, with a known dose and a known safety profile. Compounded pellets are not standardized or FDA-approved, and they are not part of our practice.

What about testosterone for women?

Some programs emphasize testosterone pellets for women. There is currently no FDA-approved testosterone product for women in the United States. When the evidence supports considering testosterone for specific symptoms, we discuss what is known and what is not, honestly, and FDA-approved options come first.

Is menopause hormone therapy safe?

For the right candidate, monitored properly, it can be. We evaluate you first, review the benefits and the risks for your situation, and follow your labs on a schedule. Not everyone is a candidate, and we say so when hormone therapy is not the right choice for you.

Do I still need progesterone if I take estrogen?

Often, yes. If you still have your uterus, estrogen is usually paired with micronized progesterone to protect the uterine lining. We walk through what applies to you during your evaluation, and nothing is prescribed before that conversation.

Can hormone therapy help with the menopause weight gain?

Hormone therapy is not a weight-loss drug, but easing sleep, mood, and symptoms can make weight feel workable again. If weight is a primary goal, GLP-1 medical weight loss lives in the same membership, and we can manage both together. See medical weight loss.

What does it cost?

The Metabolic & Hormone Membership is $199 a month at the founding rate for the first 10 members, and the rate increases after the founding cohort. Your membership covers ongoing medical management: visits, labs coordination, dose titration, and messages answered personally by Dr. Sharma during office hours. Medication is billed separately at your pharmacy. See real cost ranges.

What if something urgent comes up after hours?

Routine messages are answered by Dr. Sharma the same business day. Members receive an after-hours protocol for urgent medication concerns. For anything outside the program, your own primary care physician remains your first call, and in an emergency call 911 first.

See the Concierge Membership

Menopausal hormone therapy is offered to eligible candidates after a clinical evaluation and a full discussion of the risks and benefits. This is physician-supervised care, and not everyone is a candidate. Individual results vary, and benefits are not guaranteed. We prescribe FDA-approved bioidentical formulations, including estradiol and micronized progesterone, and we do not offer compounded hormone pellets. Medication is billed separately through your pharmacy or insurance; the membership covers medical management, not the medication.
